FBI is working to break into the phone of the Trump rally shooter
Investigators in Pennsylvania were unable to open it.
The FBI is trying to crack into Crooks' phone. Given their best opportunity since Jan. 6, they did NOT immediately start vociferously decrying device encryption. They won't even say what kind of phone it is. That's telling.
Indeed, the FBI said they're "optimistic" about getting in:
Keep an eye on this story, but it may be that the era of LE complaining about device encryption is now definitively over - because they can reliably get around it.

The FBI announced on Monday it had successfully gained access to the phone used by Thomas Matthew Crooks, the suspected shooter in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
