The alleged #DisneySlackBreach shows what can happen when organisations use outdated, centralised communications platforms that don’t use end-to-end encryption.
Organisations needs to invest in decentralised, end-to-end encrypted communications to ensure there’s no sequel.

@element@mastodon.matrix.org Corpos use centralized unencrypted chat platforms not because they can't, corpos use centralized unencrypted chat platforms because they want it that way, because they want Slack (or whatever) org admins and C-suites to be able to see it.
They don't encrypt their messages because they want accountability and control over their employees, they can't stand employees gossip without them knowing.
