The think tank China Strategic Risks Institute (CSRI) published an analysis titled “Under-Pricing Chinese EV Risks in the UK,” which concluded that cars from China pose a threat to national security. Chinese-made EVs are embedded with Cellular Internet of Things Modules (CIMS), which transmit information via radio signals to and from external sources. The CSRI is calling for a ban on EV and CIM manufacturers suspected of having ties to the Chinese government from bidding on public contracts. The full reports is here: t.co/XTRr03BJ3x
